Chobe Safari Lodge Uganda Review

Best Accommodation / Safari Lodges in Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park is one of the most common national parks in Uganda and is visited by so many tourists specifically for wildlife viewing activities, launch trips & Chimpanzee tracking. This park has a lot of accommodation facilities that range from budget, mid-range to luxury which often gives clients a wide array of lodging options to choose from. However, the fact that this national park has a lot of accommodation facilities doesn’t mean all the facilities will reward you the comfort you want irrespective of your budget.

Some lodges may be slumber but in actual sense, the settings around them, facilities and views aren’t really worthy the money your cashing in compared to the rest that meet all these for the same prices or even less. Even for a typical budget traveler, having less money on accommodation doesn’t entitle you to a reservation with a substandard facility. You can still get good value for your money if only your choices are right which might be quite hard for you because chances are high you don’t know much about the best lodges in Murchison Falls National Park. This article is here to guide you on the lodges you should always book for your stay in this national park irrespective of your budget. I personally have visited all of them before and i guarantee you will get the best services at each of the facilities.

All the lodging facilities above are just perfect and i believe you will get good services from each of them. I will keep updating this list in case of emergencies of new better lodges or rather a decline in service of any of the facilities listed above. Still puzzled on your choice of accommodation? For slumber (luxury) travelers, i recommend giving Chobe Safari Lodge or Paraa Safari Lodge your top choice where as Red Chilli and Shoebill Camp site are ideal for typical budget travelers. For those spending nights in Masindi Town, Masindi Hotel should definitely be your top choice. Never make a mistake of reserving rooms in accommodation facilities that cost as little as $40 or $30 a night because you are likely to get disappointed due a number of substandard facilities like broken sinks, weak beds with stained bed sheets or even bed bugs plus several more uncertainties. For budget travelers, plan for at least $100 per night before reserving your safari so as to get a comfortable facility for your stay.

If you are booking your Uganda safaris through a Uganda tour operator then try to find out if they own accommodation facilities in your destination or rather have partnerships with existing lodges because some of these operators are entitled to special confidential rates that enable them get accommodation for a far lesser price. If you previously went through a hard time citing out the best accommodation facilities in Murchison Falls National Park then the choices above should give you value for your money. You can go ahead and check for TripAdvisor reviews of each of the facilities mentioned on this list to see what past clients have to say about them otherwise, i wish you the best stay in Murchison Falls National Park.

Caution: Despite these lodges being built in locations that are hard to access by wildlife, you shouldn’t have any funny movements without a guard especially at night. These animals roam freely and at times reach some of the lodges accidentally during the night which is quite dangerous for a tourist. Besides, the water of the Nile around this park is highly infested with hippos and crocodiles that sometime go as far as roaming within the nearby land. Wild camping is fun but only safe if you follow the respective rules and regulations at each accommodation facility.
