Isunga Lodge is located on a raised area at the edge of Kibale Forest National Park. From here, guests can see the forest, the Rwenzori Mountains, Lake George, and Queen Elizabeth National Park. The lodge is about a 20-minute drive from the starting point of chimpanzee tracking.
The lodge has 7 en-suite cottages, each set apart to provide privacy and quiet. All cottages have bathrooms with flush toilets and views of Kibale Forest. Every evening, a campfire is lit where guests can relax, share stories, and enjoy the night sky.
The restaurant has wide views of the park and serves both local and international meals. Special diets can be arranged, and most ingredients come from the lodge’s garden and nearby community. Guests can also enjoy drinks from the bar or relax with a book in the restaurant.
Isunga Lodge is about 20 minutes from Kanyanchu, the main starting point for chimpanzee trekking. Room rates range from $75 to $270 depending on type and occupancy, though prices may change.
