Kibale Forest Camp is one of the best mid-range accommodation options near Kibale Forest National Park. The lodge is owned by Nature Lodges Uganda and is located at the edge of the park, next to Magombe Swamp, which is part of the Bigodi Wetland System. It is only 10 minutes from the starting point of chimpanzee trekking in Kibale.
Accommodation is offered in 12 en-suite safari tents set in the forest, giving guests a real jungle experience. There are also 9 non-self-contained tents placed under grass-thatched roofs. These come with power outlets, comfortable beds, towels, bedding, and shared bathroom facilities. For budget travelers, the camp offers a lazy camping option.
The restaurant serves two-course lunches and four-course dinners with both local and international dishes. Special dietary needs can be arranged with prior notice. The bar serves a range of local and international drinks. Each en-suite tent has a bathroom with hot and cold running water, a flush toilet, and a private veranda where monkeys can often be seen. Guests can also request tea or coffee with an early wake-up call.
