Rwenzori View Guest House is located on the outskirts of Fort Portal Town in western Uganda, close to Kibale Forest National Park. The park covers 795 square kilometers and is known for its 351 tree species, some over 200 years old and more than 55 meters tall.
The guest house was started by a Dutch and English couple and designed by a Swiss architect. It opened in 1997 and has welcomed visitors from around the world ever since. Today, it is one of the most affordable lodges for visitors to Kibale Forest National Park.
Accommodation is offered to both business and leisure travelers with views of the Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the Mountains of the Moon. The lodge sits in the quiet Boma area, close to the local market, golf course, town center, and post office.

- Bird-watching: Kibale is also one of the best birding destinations in Uganda, with 375 bird species recorded. Some common species include the pin-tailed whydah, African pied wagtail, slender-billed weaver, masked apalis, grey parrot, little greenbul, crowned eagle, red-chested owlet, red-faced woodland warbler, dusky crimson wing, scaly-breasted illadopsis, western nicator, white-naped pigeon, and Nahan’s francolin.
