Bunyonyi Safari Resort was established in 1996 as a Ugandan family business. Over the years, it has grown into one of the best budget lodges at Lake Bunyonyi.

Accommodation
The resort offers different types of rooms:
- Cottages: Spacious cottages have views of the lake and a private garden. They come with either two twin beds or a king-sized bed that can be used as a single or double.

- Superior rooms: These are well furnished and come with a bathtub instead of a shower. Each has two twin beds and one king-sized bed.
- Deluxe cottages: These have showers instead of bathtubs and come with twin or double beds.
- Dormitories & camping: Budget travelers can stay in dormitories with shared facilities or at the camping ground. Campers should bring their own tents.
Dining & Food
Meals are served in several dining areas:
- The main dining hall can seat up to 120 people and is mostly used for lunch.
- The roof terrace dining area, on top of the main building, overlooks the lake and is often used for breakfast and evening cocktails.
- The garden dining area is by the lakeside and is popular for barbecues and dinner.
- The hilltop dining arena can host up to 800 people and is used for weddings, parties, and other large events.
Some rooms also have private balconies that can be used for dining.
Lounges & Bars
Guests can relax in different lounge areas:
- The café and reception lounge gives guests a warm welcome.
- The hilltop arena has lounge seating, a self-catering kitchen, TV, sports, games, and a cash bar.
- The roof terrace lounge is good for reading, table tennis, or using the gym.
- The main bar lounge, located in the main hotel, has a fireplace for cold nights and a balcony with lake views.
- The garden lounge is set by the lakeside.
Wellness & Sports
The roof terrace gym has wide lake views. Guests can enjoy a steam bath with local herbs or use the firewood-heated sauna near the lakeside, which also has sunbathing decks.
For sports lovers, the resort offers sport bikes, a football pitch, table tennis, darts, pool tables, board games, and other gym equipment.
Conferences & Events
The resort has three conference facilities:
- The circular conference hall hosts up to 50 people and includes a balcony and lounge area for tea breaks.
- The roof terrace conference hall accommodates more than 150 people.
- The hilltop events arena can host up to 800 people and is suitable for big events.
