How to Get There
Murchison Falls National Park, formerly known as Kabalega National Park, is found in northwestern Uganda. The name of the park was changed in 1964 by Sir Samuel Baker, who named it after Sir Roderick Murchison, the president of Britain’s Royal Geographical Society at that time.
The park is home to 76 species of mammals, 451 species of birds, and chimpanzees that can be seen in the nearby Budongo Forest. Visitors can enjoy many activities such as wildlife viewing, nature walks, chimpanzee trekking, and bird watching.
Chobe Safari Lodge can be reached by road within about 4 hours from Kampala, covering a distance of 305 kilometres. For those who prefer not to drive, charter flights are available from Entebbe or Kajjansi airfield.
