The Uganda Wildlife Campsite is located in the southern sector of Murchison Falls National Park, on top of the falls with views of the park. The staff are welcoming and make you feel at home.
Accommodation is provided in self-contained bandas, which are a good option for budget travelers. There is also a camping ground, but guests should bring their own camping equipment. Every evening a campfire is lit, and a guide shares stories with visitors.
Guests may bring their own cooking utensils and use the campsite kitchen or enjoy continental meals prepared by the chefs. A variety of drinks are also available. The bandas are furnished with comfortable beds and basic toiletries.

Activities to do near the lodge
- Game Drives: Game drives are a popular activity in the park. You can hire a vehicle with a guide from the Uganda Wildlife Authority to explore. Animals often seen include elephants, lions, giraffes, leopards, hippos, warthogs, waterbucks, antelopes, and many more.
- Boat Cruise: A boat trip to Murchison Falls, also called the Devil’s Cauldron, is one of the highlights. The Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge on the rift escarpment to form the powerful waterfalls. Visitors can also hike to the top of the falls. The boat cruise usually takes 2 to 3 hours and offers chances to see elephants by the riverbanks and many water birds.
- Chimpanzee Tracking: Chimpanzee trekking can be done in Kaniyo Pabidi and Budongo Forests. Chimpanzees are close relatives of humans, sharing about 98 percent of our DNA. Spending time with them is a memorable experience.
Other activities in Murchison Falls include bird watching, cultural visits, sport fishing, guided nature walks, and balloon safaris.
