Virunga Conservation Area Gorilla Trekking Map
The Virunga Conservation Area is shared by Volcanoes National Park, Virunga National Park, and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. These parks are found in Rwanda, Congo, and Uganda respectively.
The eight Virunga Volcanoes are also found in this conservation area. These include Mount Muhabura, Mount Bisoke, Mount Visoke, Mount Gahinga, Mount Sabyinyo, Mount Karisimbi, Mount Nyamuragira, and Mount Nyiragongo.
When planning your gorilla safari, give Bwindi Impenetrable National Park first priority, Volcanoes National Park second priority, and Virunga National Park last.
